Am I able to integrate your courses with my existing LMS?

Yes, TRC Interactive has integrated with a number of Learning Management Systems.

Is there a certificate provided after courses are successfully completed?

Yes, in addition to the student’s score being recorded in Training Central®, a certificate is displayed when the course/module is completed for the student to print. If the student did not meet minimum requirements of your financial institution, notice of that is provided as well.

Do you offer videos?

Videos are an integral component of TellerSolutionOnline™ and TRC’s Customer Experience®

What methods do you have to track my staff progress?

Training Central® is TRC Interactive’s administrative site that pairs with our products, provides you full reporting capabilities that will allow you to track all of the user’s scores, dates and experience.

What are the benefits of online training to my students?

Can I add new courses to our menu at any time?

Yes, as an Administrator, you can add custom content to the menu your staff sees. There is a nominal charge and TRC Interactive will add behind-the-scenes programming that the student must acknowledge receipt/read of any upload.

What features are included with your LMS, Training Central®?
  • Customized course menu
  • Set your own due dates
  • Email course reminders to your students
  • Add or Modify Scores
  • Pull reports for a multitude of different data including:
    • Courses past due
    • Courses not taken
    • Scores for each individual courses
  • Track Other Training (i.e. training that is not provided by TRC)
    • Allows Administrators to enter details of other training. Examples include internal instructor-led, seminars, etc. It will provide space for the session name, facilitator, a brief description, date completed and score (if assessed).
  • Upload documents and policies
    • You can assign any custom upload as a resource. TRC Interactive will add programming that the student must acknowledge receipt/read. You can also add a final assessment to any upload. TRC Interactive will program that to be scored and tracked in Training Central®. There is a nominal fee for this service.
  • Convert PowerPoint presentations to online courses
    • This option allows Administrators to upload an existing PowerPoint presentation. TRC will convert your presentation into an LMS-ready course – adding bookmarking, navigation and completion status. The ability to add assessments at the end of your PowerPoint presentation is available.
  • Upload courses created by your institution
    • Whether your course has been created by you or another vendor, you have the ability to upload and launch courses within Training Central®. This feature will track that your institution’s course has been launched so that you may retain your records along with your TRC Interactive provided course information.

Are the test questions randomized?

Yes, the test questions are randomly presented.

Approximately how long does it take to complete each course?

Each course is designed to take approximately 30-45 minutes.

How soon can my staff start taking the courses?

Once you have set up your course menu and supplied us with your logo, your staff can start taking courses immediately.

What computer specifications are necessary for your training courses?

  • High speed connection
  • Windows OS and Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Edge are supported

Compliance Training FAQ

Are your courses updated often enough to keep up with the constantly changing compliance and regulatory issues?

The TRC Interactive Compliance Team monitors our courses daily and updates them as necessary to keep them compliant and up to date with the regulations. In most cases, courses will be updated with notifications regarding upcoming regulatory changes prior to implementation to keep staff informed of changes that are on the horizon.

Are State Laws covered in the compliance offerings?

TRC Interactive courses and training materials are developed and based upon federal laws, regulations, and guidance and are intended to provide general compliance information. In most cases the vast and varying state laws and requirements are not specifically covered. However, in some situations some state law requirements may be generally included to provide additional information to all learners. In addition, TRC Interactive can provide custom courses to those institutions that would like to provide specific state law instruction to their staff.

Does TRC Interactive offer policies and procedures?

Policies and procedures should be as unique as the institutions they serve. While we do not offer policies and procedures, many courses do provide insight into the detail and content that a financial institution should consider in designing and adapting their specific policies and procedures.

What things are customizable within the courses?

Through your Administrator’s menu, you are able to customize the terms that are unique to your bank. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Your Financial Institution’s logo
  • Formal name for your bank
  • Informal name for your bank
  • Your term for branch
  • Your term for manager
  • Formal term for teller
  • Casual term for teller
  • Your term for Customer Service Representative
  • And much, much more!

Fraud Training FAQ

Why is it getting more difficult to spot fraudulent items?

There really are quite a number of reasons, from readily available photo software and reproduction equipment to the vast amount of information available to criminals. Keeping your staff informed is your First Line of Defense™ against fraud!

How does the Challenge work?

Each individual Challenge is a simulation that replicates the transaction experience. It’s up to the learner to decide if the transaction being presented to them is legitimate or fraudulent.

Why don’t people sitting side by side see the same Challenge?

While your staff will ultimately be presented with the same Challenges, the Challenges are randomized so that no one person experiences them in the same order.

Are there transactions that should be processed?

Yes! It’s important from a learning standpoint to offer perfectly legitimate transactions while they are being tested on fraudulent ones. If your staff were expecting something to be wrong with every transaction that is presented, it would be unrealistic and, ultimately, not as effective a teaching tool.

I like the Challenges, but I need more...

With each edition of First Line of Defense™, you will be provided with Branch Activities to reinforce your institution’s policies and procedures. Instructions and handouts are provided, as well.

Will the transaction items be from our area?

They will. The cities, states, zip codes and even phone area codes will be localized to your area.

How much time does the Challenge take?

The First Line of Defense™ Challenges are designed to be presented as transactions and processed within one minute. However, it should be noted, that there is no time limit to the Challenges. With an average of ten Challenges per edition, we expect that it will take each learner approximately 15 minutes to complete the series.

Where does TRC Interactive get the fraudulent and legitimate items?

We get them from thousands of our customers – financial institutions just like you!

What does it mean that it only takes “one hour a year”?

For your subscription price, you will receive unlimited access to the Challenge updates which are provided quarterly. The Challenges were designed to take approximately 15 minutes per session. As a result of taking the First Line of Defense™ Challenges, your staff will be well on their way to saving your financial institution money from fraud loss…and all within one hour’s time commitment for the year!

Why does your staff enjoy the Challenge as well as learn from it?

The Challenges are interactive, competitive and professionally stimulating. Its visual nature replicates actual circumstances.

How do I, as the Administrator, keep track of our employees’ training?

At no additional cost and included in your subscription, you will have access to Training Central™, TRC Interactive’s Learning Management System (LMS), which will assist you with scheduling and tracking your staff’s scores. In addition, it enables you to pull reports surrounding your staff’s performance.

How will branch staff access the Challenges?

You may either have your staff access the Challenges through our secure site or have them access SCORM files that TRC Interactive provides to you on your own LMS.

Am I able to be invoiced more frequently than annually to minimize the payments?

TRC Interactive understands budget constraints and your approval level. If it makes it easier to be invoiced more than the standard annual subscription amount, arrangements can be made.

Are there additional fraud courses available?

Yes! TRC Interactive also has several fraud courses available in our library including Fraud, Common Fraud Schemes, and the First Line of Defense™, Fraud Prevention Series.

Am I able to customize First Line of Defense™?

With each edition of First Line of Defense™, you will be provided with Branch Activities to reinforce your policies and procedures. Instructions and handouts are provided, as appropriate.

In addition, each First Line of Defense™ challenge is fully customizable. Financial institutions can modify the challenge itself and/or supply custom feedback. Many financial institutions choose to use reproductions of their own account and loan screens.

Teller Training FAQ

How often is TellerSolutionOnline® updated?

We update TellerSolutionOnline® as the financial world requires, whether that is a new look to currency, a regulation, or TRC Interactive enhancement. You always will have the most current modules available!

What else is included when I get TellerSolutionOnline®?

Not only will your staff have access to this award-winning, very media-rich training, but we also provide the Administrator with detailed information to blend the online modules with instructor-led training to best meet the needs of your financial institution.

Is TellerSolutionOnline® customizable?

Yes! For consistency throughout your financial institution, TRC Interactive provides you the opportunity to select your preferred method of counting currency and pronunciations of several terms as well as terminology throughout the modules. In addition, if you want to have other customization added to your teller training, we can include your forms, policies and procedures, products and services, final exams, review text, and much more!

 

And there is a companion piece to the multimedia modules – the Action Guide. You can completely personalize that for your training to include step-by-step instructions, your forms, your policies, etc. With each upgrade to the multimedia portion of the training, the Action Guide is updated as well. TRC Interactive provides you suggestions of what you might like to include in the Action Guide for your staff to access.

You say that TellerSolutionOnline® is interactive - How?

TellerSolutionOnline® incorporates audio, video, and segues where the Mentor explains the importance of certain teller training aspects. In addition, at sign-on, the user will select the state of their choice. The programming will then pull in that state’s identification and banking forms from your state. One exercise has the user fill in a check. And the check actually is made out to the student trainee!

Challenges learner to apply new skills in everyday life, not just sales situations

How does the course handle the challenge of helping staff build relationships?

The course unveils the opportunities and challenges of building relationships with customers/clients/members by providing skill-building blocks through realistic customer/client/member sessions.

Does the course providing individual feedback to each staff member?

The course is designed to recognize personal levels of skill strength, identify areas of skill improvement, and position feedback based on feelings-level attitude of learner.

Is your sales training more lecture or “role plays”? Does it provide opportunities to practice and achieve a level of comfort?

Our course mostly focuses on interactivity and application. It builds learner skills through video modeling, realistic practice and demonstration, and interactive exercises, all for the purpose of placing the learner in a realistic situation.

Does it create step-by-step action to increase sales, build confidence in stages, and deepen customer relationships?

The course will initially identify areas of strength and of skill improvement, building on the learner’s existing experience through realistic customer/client/member sessions. Video modeling, realistic practice and demonstration, and interactive exercises are just some of the teaching methods that the course uses.

Throughout the entire course, the programming tracks and measures all progress, setting your staff on the path to increased confidence and action.

Is it tailored to each learner’s personal situation?

Using TRC Interactive’s unique Knowledge Pad feature, you may customize the feedback to include your guiding principles, branding, mission, vision, and policies to guide learner skill application with the customer/client/member.
